Houston Metro Area Map

Houston is the fourth largest city in the US and the largest city in Texas with a city population of 2.1 million people, and the fifth largest metropolitan area in the U.S. with a total population around 6.1 million. Most of Houston is located on the gulf coastal plain and a lot of the city was built on marshes, swamp, prairie and forested land. The downtown area stands about 50 feet above sea level with the highest point is about 125 feet.
